WE APPRECIATE ALL THOSE WHO WISH TO JOIN THIS NETWORK; HOWEVER, UNFORTUNATELY, AKANS OF AMERICA WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ADD ANYMORE NEW MEMBERS DUE TO THE NEW POLICIES OF NING. UNLESS WE PAY FOR THE UPGRADE TO NING PLUS, WE WILL REMAIN WITH THE NUMBER WE HAVE. MEDASI PII
The primary goal of this network is to give members an outlet to discuss objectively and subjectively how being a part of the Akan spiritual community in the USA has impacted on their lives. We welcome informative and thought provoking discourse as well as personal disclosures, about subjects that relate to the Akan experience here in America. So we ask that all members use the utmost discretion when making posting here.
Additionally, we strongly encourage meaningful debate, as we understand that some topics discussed here are of a subjective nature. We ask that discussion of sensitive issues be presented in an respectful manner. Anyone who is harmful, disorderly, or disrespectful in blogs, forums or comments will be asked to remove such comments or have their comments removed. If the individual repeats this inordinacy; they will be banned from the network.
Being in any African Spiritual persuasion causes many issues to arise for many of us. Again, we ask that you do not use this forum to air old gripes or grievances. It is custom to bring these concerns to the public forum through the Council of Elders. In the future, we may be able to establish such a body for the express purpose of airing disputes. Meanwhile we ask that any dispute be addressed through the appropriate channels and the you refrain from using Akan.of.America as a venue.
Information presented on this website is considered public information (unless otherwise noted) and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credit is requested. We strongly recommend that Akan.of.America data be acquired directly from a Akan.of.America server and not through other sources that may change the information in some way.
While Akan.of.America makes every effort to provide accurate and complete information, various data such as names, telephone numbers, etc. may change prior to updating. Akan.of.America welcomes suggestions on how to improve our main page and correct errors. Akan.of.America provides no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability or completeness of furnished information
