Keeping Akan Spiritual and Cultural Traditions Alive

To come to terms that you are not the same
Is not as easy as playing the game
You abide by the rules
And carry special tools

For you are a person who never walks alone
They are always with you in your home
They hear your worries and soothe the thought
That you will never learn the lesson taught

See you are not the same as another
Always find strength in your brother
When you think you have fallen and hit the ground
Just remember you are never really down

You have to keep faith in all those wise
And hope that the rest will open their eyes
Hear when I say we are not the same
We embrace our culture without any shame
