GREAT NANA ASUO GYEBI FESTIVAL IN GHANA 2009-PHOTO VIDEO

Set to the background music by Ghanaian highlife music legends such as Joe Mensah, Gyadu Blay Ambulley and Felix Owusu,this slideshow takes you through some memorable moments captured during the 2009 Nana Asuo Gyebi Afahyekese in Larteh in January.
The festival which attracted many dignitaries from Ghana and beyond will be remembered for a long time.
International representatives came from UK,Trinidad,St. Vincent,Nigeria,Togo,Benin,USA and Barbados.
The festival for the year was very successful and unique for many reasons.
Highlights of the festival included the following which are captured for your viewing pleasure and education.
1. International Akom and Traditional Healing Conference held in Accra Coconut Groove Hotel.

3. Cow Sacrifice Day
4.Okomfo Attaa Mampong's Baduguan (Rites for Having 10 Children) Day supported by the OBAATANPA House of Hope Inc. USA.

7. The Akom ensemble showcase featuring groups from Larteh,Apirede,Brekuso,Nsaba,Adenta Barrier,Kasoa,Koforidua and Gomua Potsin.

9.Show Your Dance- Akomfompanyimfo showing off their natural skills in dance.
10.The Youngest Okomfo from Apirede's shrine in Ghana entertaining the public.

Wonderful video!!!!!!!!!!, I am happy to see that some many people came from Near & Far to celebrate my husband Nana Asuo Gyebi. I definitely plan to be there next year. I am glad your doing this it's away to help keep Akom Alive and growing. Medase Pii for you and Nana Baakaan's hard work.
